Work with PACE Outreach to build capacity for collaboration , navigate conflicts, develop solutions to difficult issues, and work better with each other and communities. We provide the following expertise and services to meet these goals.

Community Engagement

  • Create community engagement plans to give communities a voice in a process.

  • Promote information sharing and collaboration with a variety of in-person and digital engagement methods.

  • Thoughtfully involve communities that have traditional been excluded from processes.    

  • Build long-term trust and credibility with community members.

Facilitation

  • Facilitate public meetings, board or internal meetings, focus groups, stakeholder committees, technical working groups, community workshops, and advisory groups to help groups achieve clear outcomes.

  • Manage all meeting logistics and documentation.

  • Set ground rules, design talking points and facilitation plans, and model a collaborative tone to allow everyone to participate and for groups to look beyond positions to understand concerns, needs, and interests.  

 Strategic Planning

  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions to define vision, mission, and values; priorities, goals, and objectives; roles and responsibilities; and action plans.

  • Conduct organizational and operational assessments.  

  • Design iterative tracking systems, metrics, and implementation plans. 

Strategic Communications

  • Develop messaging tailored to specific audiences and communications channels. 

  • Create educational materials including fact sheets, infographics, press releases, and newsletters.

  • Turn complex technical information into plain language and visuals.

  • Facilitate focus groups to ensure messages resonate with target audiences.  

Community Assessments

  • Map communities to understand key players, issues, process and implementation issues, and advice.  

  • Identify potential issues or challenges that may impact a project, why issues are important, what concerns inform those issues, and opportunities to address them. 

  • Develop engagement and decision-making strategies based on assessment findings.

Conflict Prevention and Mediation

  • Act as a third-party neutral facilitator using interest-based negotiation principles to resolve conflicts and identify paths forward.

  • Mediate lasting and voluntary agreements agreements and help parties preserve relationships.

  • Coach parties on interest-based negotiation, mediation principles, and collaboration engagement.
